Focus Areas

  • Defending employers in multiple stages of the OSHA incident and accident investigation process, including initial on-site investigations, post-accident or incident evidence collection, and the citation review process.
  • Conducting large scale public and private workplace investigations ensuring that business activities comply with applicable laws and regulations and identifying areas of improvement for internal business operations.
  • Defending employers in a broad range of discrimination, harassment, and wrongful discharge litigation in federal and state courts.
  • Counseling employers on all aspects of employment law, including hiring issues, workplace investigations, wage and hour compliance, trade secrets and competition, and termination and disciplinary issues.
  • Defending employers against charges of discrimination filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and other state organizations.
  • Designing and assisting in the implementation of handbooks and workplace policies, including those covering leaves of absence, drug and alcohol testing, medical exams, hiring protocol, social media, and severance.
  • Drafting a variety of workplace agreements, including employment agreements, restrictive covenants, and separation and release agreements.
  • Advising and defending against ADA website accessibility lawsuits, an emerging area of digital accessibility litigation and compliance. Hannah has defended or resolved multiple single plaintiff and class actions lawsuits across the country in a wide variety of industries including retail, food service, real estate, and technology.
